The publication focuses on the area of administrative punishment in the broadest sense. It addresses not only liability for administrative offenses in terms of administrative law but also pays considerable attention to liability for payment offenses from the perspective of financial law. Briefly, it also introduces tort liability from the perspective of social security law and environmental law (here, considering the vastness of the subject in the selected area of mining law). The first, key part of the publication is dedicated by the authors to the issue of punishment in administrative law. This area is currently undergoing dynamic development, with significant legislative changes in 2017 regarding the concept and conception of administrative liability and a substantial simplification of the previously very complex system of administrative offenses. The most significant and comprehensive type of administrative offense has become the misdemeanor, which can now be committed by both individuals in the position of ordinary citizens and by entrepreneurs, as well as legal entities. Therefore, the authorial collective pays the greatest attention to the issue of misdemeanor law.
