Beschreibung
The story from a small town tells of the fate of two families, one of which is governed by extraordinary human nobility and solidarity protecting the life of an abandoned young girl and her elderly grandfather. Two friends, Jana and Marunka, two families, one poor, the other living in prosperity. When it is revealed how the family became wealthy, the father is imprisoned for embezzlement and the mother commits suicide. The 'marked' girls are taken in by Jana's large family, who care for her as their own until the father is released. The girls experience their school years together, high school studies, joys and disappointments, and even though their paths diverge, each finds her love.
