My book Hunting Experiences from the Drahanská Highlands describes the extraordinary beauty of the forests, which become friends to every hunter. I have been friends with them to this day. I have experienced a whole series of hunting incidents in those forests, bringing back many insights about the life of game, songbirds, and all other inhabitants of the forest, forest streams, fields, plateaus, and the entire surrounding nature. Often, it was enough for me to sit in the morning at the edge of the forest and listen. The thrush called out, then the woodpecker, and surprisingly, the wild pigeons arrived. I also heard the call of the hawk. Above the tall spruces, the buzzards were calling, having their courtship flights. And the mighty spruces above me rustled and smelled of spring. This book tells all about it.
