The story of a Czech artistic family that managed to legally cross the Iron Curtain between the countries under the dominion of the Soviet Union and the free world. They traveled to Japan for work, for the beauty of the country, the exotic culture, and different people – to breathe in life in freedom. However, the enthusiasm from the moment of arrival in the dream country will be tempered by the pain of betrayal and the destruction of love. Yet the story does not fail to provide the reader with a testimony about a distant fairy-tale land, its significant places, and especially about Tokyo.
