The publication Environmental Activities in Preschool Education is a didactic material for preschool educators and is divided into three parts. The theoretical part presents an innovative concept of environmental education, including model expected outcomes. The reasons for incorporating environmental education and education for sustainable development into framework educational programs are briefly and clearly explained at the beginning of the text. Emphasis is placed on the reader's awareness of the importance of the environment in which children's activities take place, particularly school gardens. The methodological part outlines generally applicable methodological notes and emphases, and recommendations for creating or adjusting the school educational program are also mentioned. The author addresses the assessment of quality and effectiveness and offers a self-evaluation questionnaire for assessing the quality of environmental education in kindergartens. The practical part offers a range of suggestions for small activities, projects, nature walks, educational trails, and thematic integrated blocks. Educators will find various ideas and suggestions (experiments, games, stories, crafting ideas, etc.) for their own teaching activities. The publication is primarily intended for kindergarten teachers, but it will also be useful for future kindergarten educators from secondary, higher vocational, and university schools.
