The presented publication, Často nemocné dítě, is not a textbook of pediatrics or clinical immunology for the given issue, but a summary of the experiences of a doctor who has been dealing with the problem of frequently ill children for almost 40 years. Initially from the perspective of a pediatrician and subsequently as a specialist in clinical immunology and allergology, both at the level of field practice and at the academic level. We hope that the book will be useful to all doctors who frequently encounter ill children in their offices – especially pediatricians, allergists, and clinical immunologists, otorhinolaryngologists, pulmonologists, and others who are only marginally affected by this issue. Necessary and current information can also be found here by other healthcare professionals, medical students, and interested laypeople. Especially for parents, the book provides a deeper insight into the development of immunity in children at various ages in connection with the most common diseases that occur in them over time.
