Beschreibung
The textbook is primarily intended for undergraduate medical students, but it can also serve bachelor’s students and, for refreshing knowledge, postgraduate students and young doctors. The description of the urogenital and endocrine systems maintains a traditional approach and structure: for each organ, its function is provided, and its description is divided into macroscopic and microscopic anatomy. Notes on clinical contexts are highlighted with a gray background. Detailed notes, especially on developmental mechanisms, are printed in a smaller font. Anatomical structures are named according to Terminologia Anatomica (1998) and commonly used Czech terms are also provided. The text is accompanied by 98 images, including those taken by various imaging methods. Most illustrations are in color, and their descriptions are included directly in the images. All basic terms contained in the text have been included in the index.
