The book A Different World attempts to show real life from the perspective of a person with autism. Various circumstances led the author to different places where different people stayed, each requiring a different approach. The human factor feels like a burden to her; people are like uncontrolled projectiles, constantly forcing her to move. The surrounding people create a complicated world of hidden meanings for her, which is unclear and unstable, as they project their desires, opinions, and thoughts onto it. According to the author, everyone carries their own program in their head, to which no one else has complete access. For this reason, the author prefers a world of things. The first chapter shares the same title as the book by Dutch professor Peter Vermeulen, Autistic Thinking, which the author considers important. The insights contained within are fundamental for all autism spectrum disorders. She partially interprets this book and shares her own experiences. Through this book, she better understood her own thinking. However, she does not rely solely on Peter Vermeulen's ideas. She also presents her own observations and experiences. It is not an emotional story, as relationships in her life did not play a crucial role. To make the book more enjoyable to read, it is enlivened by amateur drawings that the author paints herself.
