It is 1965, and a group of five young men led by seventeen-year-old Jack Mackay leaves their homes in Glasgow and heads to London with the aim of making it in the music world. The boys leave behind a boring life and their families, running away in search of fame and happiness. But soon they discover that reality has nothing to do with their dreams, and three of them return home after a few weeks with lives irreparably damaged. Fifty years later, a brutal murder occurs in London, and three men, now nearly seventy, set out once again to familiar places in search of answers to questions that have haunted and destroyed their lives for five decades.
