Sál smrti – May Peter (2016)

Margaret Campbell and Li Jen in the third installment of the Chinese thrillers. Eighteen mutilated and dismembered female bodies are found in a mass grave in Shanghai. Li is sent to the crime scene because the discovered corpses may be linked to an old unsolved murder in Beijing. He is about to witness a horrific crime unlike anything seen in China before. Meanwhile, Margaret must confront doubts about her complicated relationship with Li. When she returns from the United States after her father's funeral, she discovers that their shared life, both romantic and professional, may now be in jeopardy. Mej-Ling, the deputy commander of the criminal department in Shanghai, works closely with Li and apparently wants more than just that. How can Margaret, the 'foreign devil,' compete with a woman who is closer to Li in every way? As investigators uncover the terrible circumstances of the Shanghai murders during autopsies, they realize with horror that they are dealing with an inhuman monster. The longer they are on the trail of the cold-blooded killer, the more certain they become that they will have to confront not only him but also their own nightmares.
