Tied to a cross, he stood like a morbid scarecrow among the rows of ripe vines and had apparently been kept in red wine the whole time before. Petty's murderer was never caught. When Enzo Macleod revisits the cold case three years later, he discovers that beneath the seemingly calm French winery, a fierce battle full of greed, envy, and desperation is brewing. One potential murderer after another presents themselves to Enzo: local winemakers, members of the Order of the Divine Bottle, and even Petty's daughter, Michelle.
