The new generation textbook retains some proven approaches from the original series but also includes many conceptual changes based on experiences with teaching the subject and feedback from teachers. It significantly differs in new graphics and structure. It focuses on an inquiry-based approach and integration of the curriculum. The goal of the textbook is to teach students to observe and evaluate observed phenomena. The core of the textbook consists of simple practical experiments, walks, and observations.
