The volume contains a complete collection of shorter and medium-length prose by Jiří Gruša. In addition to the pendant to Gruša's more well-known novels from the 1970s, the novella 'Dámský gambit' (1972) and the anti-utopia 'Mimner aneb Hra o smrďocha' (1973), which was investigated by the socialist police as a work disrupting morality, the reader will find thirteen apocryphal stories and experimental works from the years 1964–2011, as well as a draft of a longer prose piece 'Hrbáč čili Druhý sešit' (1966). Some of these texts are being published in Czech for the very first time.
