Beschreibung
The author invites viewers and readers to a small square in Venice during carnival time. The renowned temperament of Venetians promises a lot of fun with girls and mature women who long for marriage, plenty of merriment, and quarrels among them and with hot-headed suitors. The Neapolitans of "better origin" will also play their role in the square, especially a cavalier who, despite being broke, manages to host the Venetians and enjoys their joy of life. The play, which often appears on theater stages, is published in the translation by V. Mikeš and J. Vladislav as the 184th volume of the D series.
