The thirteenth novel in Terry Goodkind’s Sword of Truth fantasy series follows The Omen Machine. The Seeker of Truth, Richard Rahl, and Confessor Mother Kahlan Amnell narrowly escape death in a confrontation with the sorceress Jit in the Dark Lands. They then suddenly find themselves alone in the forest, mysteriously abandoned by all the friends who had accompanied them. In the remote village of Stroyza, local people offer them help. A young sorceress named Sammie lives there and reveals that death is hidden inside both of them. Soon afterwards, the village is brutally attacked by reanimated corpses. Richard is plunged into events far beyond anything he has previously experienced. To defeat death and save both himself and his beloved Kahlan, he must first travel to the kingdom between life and death and uncover the truth, however terrifying it may be. The book is in Czech.
