The author of the book is a former show jumping rider. He participated in dozens of competitions, including the Czechoslovak Championship in military events. At an advanced age, with a gray beard and a saddle already hung above his bed, he wrote this book. Its plot takes place in the 1970s and is based on real memories and experiences. With a brisk pace and a distinctive sense of humor and a masculine approach, he tells a story from behind the scenes of the equestrian world, scented with hay. A story about friendship, daily toil, first romantic sparks and disappointments, knocked-out teeth, the pounding of hooves, victories and defeats, and above all – an immeasurable love for horses.
