Anne Franková - Souborné vydání – Franková Anne (2022)

The publication contains all known texts by Anne Frank, namely all versions of her diary, as well as short stories, an attempt at a novel, preserved correspondence, excerpts from her favorite books, and the so-called book about Egypt. The volume is supplemented with a rich photographic appendix. The collected edition has only been published in four world languages (German, Dutch, English, and French). The Czech version is based on the Dutch original published by Prometheus in 2013 (712 pages), translated by Magda de Bruin Hüblová. The book also includes three scholarly works that clearly introduce interested readers to the historical context of Anne's life and the lives of families hiding from the threat of Nazism. The volume also contains a contribution about the history of the publication of the diary and Anne's works, reactions to the diary, and denialist attacks on its authenticity, as well as a detailed bibliography on the topic, enriched with Czech sources. Beyond the original, the Czech edition provides explanations and insights from the latest research activities surrounding the texts and biography of Anne Frank.
