The textbook Czech Step by Step 1 is designed for teaching at levels A1 and A2. Under a new title, it features a revised, expanded, and significantly content-wise and graphically innovative edition of the best-selling textbook of Czech as a foreign language New Czech Step by Step/Tschechisch Schritt für Schritt. It is also newly available in a Russian edition with the subtitle Češskij šag za šagom. The publication contains 24 lessons that systematically develop all skills based on communication situations, both receptive (reading and listening with comprehension) and productive (writing and speaking), with an emphasis on the ability to communicate and actively use Czech in practical life. Compared to the previous generation of the textbook, Czech Step by Step 1 offers more methodically refined approaches to working with texts and more communicatively oriented exercises and tasks. Grammar is presented in clear tables and through understandable diagrams, images, and symbols. A completely new original concept of declension patterns is utilized here, which forms model sentences and thus aids in mastering the Czech declension system. The textbook includes rich photographic and illustrative material, an appendix with a glossary and answer key, and two CDs with recordings of the texts (also available as MP3...).
