Tschechisch Schritt für Schritt + CD – Holá Lída (2014)

Textbook, workbook Arbeitsbuch, and CD. The German version of the Czech language teaching program for foreigners, New Czech Step by Step, is intended for beginners to intermediate learners. In twenty clearly structured lessons, it introduces students to the basics of the Czech language. The new, completely revised edition retains the fundamental principles of the older version, such as the arrangement into independently combinable panels, the system of references, and especially the color-coded grammatical gender, which has received exceptionally positive feedback from both students and teachers. The graphically redesigned textbook (www.redesign.cz) offers many more exercises, images (Michaela Kukovičová), photographs, and texts (including short introductory texts that allow for a direct grasp of the given grammatical phenomenon). The titles of the lessons demonstrate the practical and communicative focus of the textbook (e.g., My Family; Orientation; At the Restaurant; Free Time; Asking for Directions; Communication), each lesson is accompanied by six pages of exercises and activities in the illustrated workbook and an audio CD.
