I wondered
if he breathed air into the dying

oh Lord, I know I owe you
I pray to your saints
perhaps I could gain the basic favor of heaven
to watch how I wither with a divine measure of things
when it passes, violence counts as a bad dream
a yielding wall of the house is slowly intertwined
by the rising spring of groundwater
my emaciated body will be engulfed by the garment of warm sorrow
oh those pants how they choke in the crotch
and engrave themselves into the prostate the essence of thought
