Kaleidoscope of words and images deals with the contexts of intertextual and interdiscursive relationships, presenting them on themes connecting popular and high culture or related to the dynamics of tradition and its reinterpretation. It touches on literature, comics, film, media... The common denominator of the individual chapters is the marginality indicated in the subtitle: the book presents it as a productive friction zone, where the interaction and touching of seemingly contradictory or difficult-to-reconcile areas leads to the emergence of new qualities. The titular metaphor of the kaleidoscope emphasizes the fact that collections of smaller signs, phenomena, or themes can be meaning-creating for a unique and inspiring image that cannot be seen through the lens of large scientific categories.
