During the COVID-19 pandemic, social service providers faced a multitude of problems. They had to deal not only with new risks arising from the infectious disease pandemic and new rules regarding hygiene measures, protective equipment, and testing, but they were often forced to make compromises between exposing themselves (and consequently their loved ones) to a higher risk of infection and maintaining regular work activities. The presented publication reflects experiences from this situation in social services. It offers suggestions, recommendations, and inspiration for social service providers to assist them in case a similar situation arises again, accompanied by the same unresolved management issues as the recent past. The authors draw on the results of a research survey conducted as part of the project "Changes in Selected Social Services Focused on Persons with Disabilities During the Crisis State Due to Viral Disease," which aimed to map the procedures of selected types of social services during quarantine measures during the COVID-19 pandemic.
