The book offers a distinctive contribution to the debate on the potential of history education and its connection to modern insights from historical and social sciences. At the same time, it responds to the increased demand for teaching critical thinking and media literacy, which are key in modern society. The authors believe that history is particularly suitable for imparting these competencies.
