Beschreibung
The book Ethics Problems I contains texts on the philosophy of action and moral responsibility. The first section deals with the conditions of moral judgment, as formulated by the problems of free will and moral luck. The second section addresses the question of responsibility for actions and their consequences. In this regard, it examines concepts related to intentional action, types of responsibility for intended and unintended consequences of actions and inactions, or negative responsibility in relation to the integrity of the agent. Ethics Problems I complements the collections Ethics Problems II and Fundamental Ethical Theories with a selection of philosophically significant issues in contemporary Anglo-Saxon ethics and moral psychology that have developed as a result of the first critical wave of virtue ethics and established themselves as an integral part of the core philosophical curriculum.
