The collection of poems "Orbis Pictus Collection" consists of rather difficult-to-connect quotes from various wise and carefully documented books, without the selection of quotes being backed by years of scientific work and research, as we are generally accustomed to imagining with citations from the literature. Quite the opposite. It is not just a pure gesture of randomness; it is an ironically set mirror reflecting our tendency to culture everything that comes our way, including efforts to convey artistic messages about the state of the contemporary world, nature, or politics. Indirectly, Wudy expresses precisely this. Wudy seeks a way to speak about the contemporary world that is not merely that foolish human appropriation, sentimentality, or chasing after an image. Essentially, it is a work corresponding to what Karel Piorecký recently discussed in his article on metamodernism: irony and confusion fill the text, yet this gesture is not postmodernly relativizing but revealing and observing a certain horizon."
