Beschreibung
Finding an answer to the question of the ethical (un)acceptability of aesthetic surgical procedures is not at all simple. The publication presented here, aimed at all people who are not foreign to Christian values, seeks to place the phenomenon of aesthetic surgery in a broader context. In addition to the medical perspective, it introduces readers to the history of this medical field, points out how the ideal of physical beauty has changed throughout human history, examines the anthropological profile of the patient, and addresses the personality of the aesthetic surgeon. Based on these contexts, it attempts to arrive at a certain ethical evaluation. In conclusion, it presents a brief case study and the author's perspective on the matter. It is purely and solely up to the reader to form their own judgment on the entire issue. Perhaps it will help those who suffer in terms of their appearance and are considering a possible aesthetic operation to step back a bit and look at the whole issue from a certain distance.
