Základy logiky přesvědčení – Raclavský Jiří (2020)

The book "Fundamentals of Belief Logic" brings a new and broadly developed approach to attitudes and beliefs (knowledge, assumptions, etc.). It primarily presents a thorough and effective revision of the hyperintensional analysis of natural language meanings proposed by Tichý, including sentences about beliefs. The revision was initiated by the author's collaborator Kuchyňka. This Transparent Hyperintensional Logic (THL) is a current contribution to modern type-theoretical semantics. Furthermore, the book provides a fundamental reexposure of Tichý's proposed branching partial theory of types – including the corresponding deductive system. The systematic application of these systems in several chapters successfully guides the reader through the pitfalls of Frege's paradox of identity, Cresswell's paradox of hyperintensional contexts, Hintikka's paradox of logical omniscience, several epistemic paradoxes (e.g., knowability), and related semantic paradoxes. The central part of the book relies on a suitably designed substitution rule, as it is one of the key rules in type theories (i.e., in higher-order logics).
