Beschreibung
The aim of the presented publication is to clarify Schelling's conception of nature as developed in his private lectures held in Würzburg in 1804. Schelling places his interpretation of natural phenomena within the framework of a Spinoza-inspired ontology of absolute substance. The relevance of such a metaphysically conceived philosophy of nature can be seen in his reflections on the organism, which forms its central concept, and therefore it receives the most attention in the publication.
