Beschreibung
The unity of body and soul is analyzed in the philosophy of Edmund Husserl as a dual embodiment of the subject, an incarnation in the body experienced from within, Leib, and an incorporation in the body perceivable in objective space, like other bodies, Körper. And this dual embodiment of subjectivity, its dual corporeality, Leib-Körperlichkeit, ultimately remains inscrutable not only for phenomenological analysis, both static and genetic (the first part dedicated to Husserl), but also for the ethical genesis of subjectivity, which Emmanuel Levinas aims for (the second part): it is the original facticity from which the contemporary concept of the ecological philosophy of Hans Rainer Sepp emerges (the third part), a facticity that must be taken into account when approaching the mystery of animating, the miraculous connection of body and soul, which operates in the relationship of subjectivity to itself, to others, and to the world.
