Beschreibung
With his original project of asubjective phenomenology, Patočka joined a host of thinkers who sought to expand phenomenology beyond the limits set by its original connection to transcendental subjectivity. Among them were M. Heidegger, E. Fink, M. Merleau-Ponty, and M. Henry – and in some parts of his work, even E. Husserl himself. In eleven chapters written by both Czech and foreign experts, the monograph aims to illuminate the most important parallels between Patočka and his predecessors and contemporaries, thereby elucidating Patočka's demand for asubjective phenomenology in this broader context.
