Beschreibung
To understand religious pluralism from the perspective of recent Catholic theological reflection, it is necessary to clarify some basic concepts with which contemporary theological hermeneutics works. Among these is the concept of religion. The presented text primarily develops a theological approach to the definition of religion in the current context. The delineation of the concept of religion forms the basis for further study of the hermeneutics of religious traditions. The author believes that only an understanding that does not regard religion as a purely anthropological phenomenon, but takes seriously its grounding in relation to the transcendent level of reality, can be considered relevant for interpreting the existing religious plurality from the perspective of theological reflection.
