Beschreibung
This Czech-language graphic novel follows Guy Delisle during a year-long stay in Israel, where he joins his wife, who works for Doctors Without Borders. As a father on parental leave, he takes care of their two children while mainly exploring his surroundings. The family has to manage life in a country regarded as the cradle of religions but troubled by numerous problems. Jerusalem is a divided city where even the seemingly simple task of travelling from one end, the Muslim side, to the other, the Jewish side, can become a major difficulty. Delisle describes and comments on what he encounters with the fresh perspective of an unbiased observer, accompanied by a necessary dose of sarcasm and irony. The contents are in Czech.
