Beschreibung
The first part of The Fenced Forest contains texts that showcase extreme situations, describe fragile human relationships in moments of utmost tension, and show how often it takes just a small step to move from mutual grievances to mutual assistance or, conversely, from assistance to grievances. The stories, whose key word is abuse, narrate how an individual can react to influences that are often negative, how their personality can absorb and integrate experienced traumas, and where the ability comes from that allows a person to ultimately break free from the vicious circles and processes into which these situations have led them. The poems are an attempt to interpret tragedies or at least to place them in a space where the possibility of some resolution is offered. The second half of the collection reflects on the theme of loneliness and the responsibilities that come with it (emphasizing that we are mainly responsible for our own lives), and it also brings in the collective experience derived from the pandemic situation. The conclusion of the book then seeks to outline a certain path to rediscovering the severed mutual relationships.
