Thomas and Daniel come from Rostock. Each of them is completely different, yet they share a strong bond. When East Germany ceases to exist, they are still young. But they are old enough to be swept away by the new, exciting era. They move to Berlin, and their life is one big party. But then Daniel disappears. When he reappears years later, Thomas has become a lawyer leading a settled life. However, he is currently experiencing a family earthquake: his wife has left him and taken both daughters with her. What does Daniel have to do with this? And who among them actually did everything right?
