Two novellas about expats – people living away from their homeland. Věra and Henryk come to post-communist Czechoslovakia to explain how one of the supposedly best possible worlds works. Bill, Zoli, and baby already live in such a structured world – stretching from New York through Budapest to Tashkent. Nevertheless, they plan an ideal city, a better place to live. A fast-paced, hectic life full of breaks, disappointments, frustrations, and small joys...
