I see in my mind how he kicks my fellow prisoners, I've seen it so many times. His rage and kicks have killed more than one of us. And now I carefully cream and polish those disgusting boots. I dip my hand into them and hold them between my knees. I feel like throwing up. The scent of the cream mixes with the smell of leather, and I realize that if I manage to survive this hell, I will never, truly never clean boots again.
