Igor Mráz wrote an incredible number of hunting stories, radiating love for nature and respect for wildlife. He wrote interestingly, with enthusiasm and expert knowledge complemented by years of experience with encounters with deer, wild boars, bears, and wolves. In some situations, it was literally a matter of life and death for him. Many readers wanted to meet him and traveled to Slovakia to do so. He always emphasized that a little humility and the acknowledgment that despite the amazing progress of science and the constant influx of new and more detailed knowledge about the world and nature, we still do not understand everything. It is a great pity that Igor Mráz will not write any new hunting stories. He passed away a few years ago. The last book of hunting stories you hold in your hands is titled The Badger King.
