Under the common title Lost Bohemia/Lost Moravia and Silesia, the Paseka publishing house is preparing volumes from various regions of Bohemia and Moravia in an effort to recall the vanished face of cities, as well as entire regions of the Czech Republic. The selection of locations and visual documentation is carried out not only with regard to their historical or artistic significance but also with consideration of the strength of the genius loci, shaped by now-lost creations of human hands. The individual titles in the series present unique archival photographs of vanished objects, accompanied by a brief history of the city or region.
