Dogs can perform real miracles with their sense of smell. Even today, in the age of sophisticated sensors and robots, humans cannot replace their work, especially when searching in vast terrain filled with obstacles and various odors of different origins. One rescue team (handler and dog) can replace 50 people in the same amount of time, so the preparation of quality canine rescue teams and groups remains a relevant topic. In this monograph, which is unique in its scope, you will find: - theoretical insights from domestic and especially foreign sources - data processed using statistical methods obtained from more than two hundred Czech and Slovak rescuers - analyses of specific interventions in various specializations (area, tracking, and rubble) and other case studies - personal experiences of the author and other rescue dog handlers.
