In addition to large monographs dedicated to individual breeds, we are also preparing publications of a more modest scope, dedicated not to a single breed but to groups of related breeds, where well-known and popular breeds stand alongside those that are less widespread. The first work in this editorial series will be this book, dedicated to retrievers and water dogs. You will find information about these dogs: Labrador Retriever, Curly Coated Retriever, Flat Coated Retriever, Golden Retriever, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, and Chesapeake Bay Retriever, as well as the Portuguese Water Dog, Irish Water Spaniel, American Water Spaniel, Spanish Water Dog, Lagotto Romagnolo, Barbet, and Watterhound. Each breed will have a detailed history, character, care, health, appearance, and any interesting breeding facts. The information provided in the profiles of individual breeds is consulted with leading breeders and representatives of breeding organizations. The author, Eva Nohelová, lives with her four dogs on the Pohoda ranch, where she also has a breeding station.
