A romantic love story set in the London acting community and the London aristocracy, which has always had a close relationship with the theater. Margaret "Maggie" Delamere makes a successful living as a popular playwright, whose burlesques – short comic operas – are the biggest attraction at the London Imperial Theatre. Among her most devoted admirers is Cameron, Viscount Marwood, who has been obsessed with her plays for years and wants to learn more about her after a personal meeting.
