COMPLETE BOOK EDITION The Evening Tale "Cottage on the Hill" returns to a small mountain village in the last century. Its inhabitants live a simple life, governed primarily by the changing seasons. They farm the fields, keep bees and livestock, and engage in various crafts. They honor old traditions and customs, and although they do not have an easy livelihood, they help each other as neighbors and celebrate all holidays together. The main characters of the entire story are the children - Honzík and Andulka from the carpenter Tomš's cottage, and Martínek and Apolenka from the farmer Vojta's family. They have their daily responsibilities and must help at home. At the same time, they know how to find fun and experience their childhood adventures like every child in every time and place in the world. The gentle narration is complemented by proverbs, weather lore, and folk songs. For early readers, some illustrations are equipped with speech bubbles containing simple texts.
