The workbook Mathematics for Secondary Schools 1 – Basic Knowledge of Mathematics is intended for secondary school students and is divided into the following four chapters:
1. Number Sets
2. Basics of Mathematical Logic
3. Sets
4. Algebraic Expressions
Each chapter consists of concise and bullet-pointed theory, followed by tasks with space for solutions and tasks without space for solutions. The theory is primarily intended as support for teacher-led explanations and also as a brief overview for potential review.
Tasks with space for solutions should serve for basic understanding and practice of the material being covered. Tasks without space for solutions then allow for more thorough practice of the basic curriculum on analogous tasks or expansion of the basic curriculum through more difficult, less typical, or bonus tasks.
