The Czech language does not have to be a bogeyman for children; on the contrary – thanks to the book "I Can Master Czech!", they can practice spelling step by step and gain confidence in its correct usage. The book is intended for 2nd-grade students, but due to its systematic approach, it is also suitable for older students to review the material and prepare for entrance exams to high school. The content of the book covers all the outcomes of language education set by the Framework Educational Program for Basic Education and the recommended curricula for the respective grade. Comprehensive content and systematicity are not the only strengths of the workbook. Parents, and possibly teachers, will certainly appreciate the thoroughness, which lies not only in illustrative instructions and explanations but also in three hundred diverse exercises, summary tests, and an answer key (with explanations for selected solutions). The children themselves will surely be attracted by the clear and cheerful layout, nice illustrations, and especially the variety of exercises that alternate between serious and fun activities, subtly guiding the reader to think not only about what is correct but also why it is correct.
