Little Jirka would like to play with other children, but he has no friends yet. So he summons a pirate ship with a captain and a talking parrot to the housing estate where he lives. The ship is remarkable because it can sail even when there is no sea around it. Thanks to it, Jirka befriends two boys, and together they board the pirate’s ship and experience a host of unexpected and wonderful adventures. On a whaling expedition, they encounter a mysterious monster in a cellar and also have to deal with sharks in the living room. These modern fairy tales show that miracles happen literally around every corner, if only people notice them. The book is in Czech.
