Integrální antropologie – Cichá Martina (2015)

This scholarly book presents a completely original, unpublished concept of integral anthropology, which paradigmatically draws from the philosophical anthropology of Karel Čapek. Through both fundamental and more or less specialized anthropological disciplines, which are not presented 'beside each other' but 'together', in mutual contexts, humanity is viewed from various angles. The elementary biological, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual dimensions of human beings thus gain much deeper significance, as an analytical-synthetic, comprehensive approach to the study of humanity is advocated instead of a particular, narrowly focused approach to specifics, emphasizing its 'dynamic balance'. The presented findings are based on research results from both the authors themselves and other domestic and foreign researchers. The authors rely on both theoretical and empirical studies, selectively employing a comparative approach. The book is primarily intended for anthropologists of various profiles, but it will surely appeal to researchers from related fields and spark interest among the broader reading public.
