Bohové nepřicházejí z hvězd – Houdek František (2013)

The themes of the stories "Gods Do Not Come from the Stars," "Hokus," and "School by Play" are classic motifs of the sci-fi genre, such as time machines, robots, or visits from extraterrestrial civilizations. The main character of the first story is a young archaeologist who, by coincidence, finds himself at two incredible events. Together with his professor, he uncovers a mysterious prehistoric settlement in the underground of Prague, complete with the skeleton of a modern human, and later witnesses a situation in a underpass at Wenceslas Square where two primitive people suddenly appear. How are these two events connected? In the second story, robots, after a worldwide rebellion that exploits humanity's tendency towards laziness, seize control over humans. But will they be able to maintain it? In the third tale, a passionate scientist tries to unravel two mysteries. One is eventually explained quite prosaically, but the other, related to a visit from an unknown civilization, proves to be a tougher nut to crack...
