We know her from television screens, radio, print, and social media, as a host, an uncompromising critic of the situation, and last but not least, as a politician. Jana Bobošíková is publicly known as an advocate for individual rights, promoting freedom of speech, media objectivity, and democratic principles. It is hard to believe that this still very active icon of Czech journalism and the political scene will celebrate her sixtieth birthday this year. To mark this significant milestone, a group of personalities with whom Jana Bobošíková has collaborated or helped to present and defend their views in public over the past years gathered. These individuals, united primarily by the need for free expression and the courage to stand up for their opinions in public, and who are also connected to Jana Bobošíková's views, prepared a publication for her anniversary, which you now hold in your hands. It is an extraordinary tribute to this exceptional personality, an ombudswoman for the right to free thought and expression, as well as an interesting collection of ideas from these authors, among whom are well-known writers, university professors, politicians, and experts in many fields.
