Karel Jaromír Erben, Božena Němcová, as well as the Brothers Grimm and Charles Perrault, all collected folk tales and stories during their lives and created fairy tales from them, which in various adaptations have survived for many years up to the present day. Some of these are now presented by Jaroslav Jelen in a new poetic rendition that loosely connects to his previous literary works intended for children.
