Rozum v koncích – Pilný Ivan (2023)

Has the world completely gone crazy? We understand that it's difficult to navigate in today's world. Was it better before, and is it worse now? We are losing our historical memory before we even suffer from Alzheimer's. It's high time to engage the most important thing that nature or God has given us – our brain. It's not enough to just use the right part of our body for thinking; let's find our way to restore and strengthen critical thinking. As Henry Ford said, "Thinking is the hardest work there is, which is probably the reason why so few engage in it." ***** The book has three parts. The first contrasts myths and facts. It discusses topics such as climate change, identity crisis, capitalism crisis, artificial intelligence, and genetic engineering. The second part seeks to find reasons why common sense is such a critically scarce commodity. In the third part, I look for tools to strengthen or restore this quality. I asked my colleague from the television show Den D and former Minister of Industry and Trade Marta Nováková for collaboration. I believe it is beneficial and useful to exchange views on such important topics. ***** Be not only reasonable but also active. Remember that we either create the future or become its victims.
